A FREE EVENING OF STAND-UP COMEDY FROM LOCAL ATLANTA COMEDIENNES

WHO: Patt Brown, and some of Atlanta's funniest comediennes

Funny Girls headliner, Patt Brown, stands out as a fresh creative force in an industry dominated by male comedians. Her intelligent brand of thought-provoking humor is mixed with an abundance of silliness that will appeal to the most staunch in nature. Her comedy can be defined as meat for the soul and dessert for the palette. Patt is a native of Kansas City, MO and now resides in Atlanta, GA where she acts out weekly with the Black Top Comedy Improv Group at Uptown Comedy Corner. Patt has appeared with comedy dynamos Steve Harvey, Chris Rock, Reynaldo Rey, D.L. Hughley, and Don "DC" Curry. She was featured as one of comedy's brightest new faces, in Atlanta's annual Urban International Comedy Arts Festival, Laffapalooza, with a follow up showcase at the Improv, in Los Angeles.

WHAT:
And evening of stand-up comedy that celebrates women in comedy as part of the Women's Awareness Month activities at Georgia Tech, sponsored by the Women's Resource Center and the Student Center Program Council and hosted by one of Georgia Tech's resident faculty comedians Pete Ludovice.

WHY:
To show you that there is nothing un-ladylike about making you laugh so hard your drink comes out your nose. Atlanta comediennes show you that women can succeed in what is often thought of as a male dominated field. Perhaps comedy and engineering aren't that different after all.

8pm, March 30th, 2007

WHERE:
The Midtown Stage in the Student Center Commons at Georgia Tech. This is the round stage in the middle of the student center commons building located between Pandini's Restaurant Burdell's Store. The student center is located at 350 Ferst Drive in Atlanta and parking is available in the lot and deck adjacent to the student center. See the maps below.
