The shows headliner, Scotty K. is a national touring comedian from Atlanta who was born in New York and raised in the south as the son of a preacher. With this unique childhood and background, he has many bizarre life experiences to draw from. By the time Scotty turned 15 yrs. he had already lived in six states and attended eight schools. After graduating from college with a degree in psychology / counseling, Scotty spent 5 years counseling troubled teens. What he found was that most of the kids he worked with had nothing wrong, at least not when he compared them with his own issues. (ADHD -Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder combined with his crazy family). Recognizing he had a rather unique outlook on life, Scotty left his counseling position and leaped head first into to standup comedy. At the time, his family and friends thought he was crazy. (nothing new) But with the great success he has enjoyed headlining clubs on the national comedy circuit, Scotty has proven his intuitions correct.
Scotty has been seen on seen on BET’s Comic View, Comcast Comedy Spotlight, the Weather Channel, commercials and film. He has been heard on the nationally syndicated radio shows Bob and Tom, Rick and Bubba and Bob and Sheri. Scotty has shared the stage with such stars as DL Hughley (Kings of Comedy), Joe Rogan (Fear Factor), Chris Tucker (Rush Hour), Robert Schimmel (HBO), Ricky Smiley (Comic View ), and Kevin Pollack (Usual Suspects). Scotty never fails to please. With the countless laughs he’s garnered over the years, it’s just a matter of time before he is starring in his own vehicle. Young or old, black or white, Scotty is a comedian that is not to be missed. |
