DROP DAY COMEDY IF YOU LEAVE TECH, LEAVE 'EM LAUGHING

A FREE OPEN-MIC COMEDY SHOW FOR THE GEORGIA TECH COMMUNITY

SPONSORED BY THE FOLLOWING CAMPUS AND TECH SQUARE ESTABLISHMENTS

WHY:
To prove that the nerds at Georgia Tech can be funny and not just funny-looking on the last day to drop out of Georgia Tech and still receive grades of W for all your classes.

WHO:
Any member of the Georgia Tech Community (students, staff, faculty and alumni) are eligible to participate in our open-mic comedy contests. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers who will be judged by audience reaction and a panel of local comedians. The winner will be invited to perform in an upcoming comedy show on campus. Just do your best stand-up routine (a maximum of 5 minutes). Since audience reaction is included in the judging criteria invite your friends to cheer you on. The contest is only open to the Georgia Tech community, but the show is open to anyone - AND ITS FREE. You can either sign up just before the show or simply email pete@drpetecomedy.com with your name, phone number and email stating that you would like to be in the open-mic contest.

THE SHOW WILL BE HOSTED BY PETE LUDOVICE AND WILL FEATURE GUEST APPEARANCES BY LEW LEFTON OF THE SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICS AND VARIOUS LOCAL COMEDIANS INCLUDING DONNELL KEITH GREY AND DAN WEEKS.

WHAT:
A free stand-up comedy show featuring some of Atlanta's funniest local comedians and an open-mic competition for the Georgia Tech Community. Anyone is welcome to attend the show, but the open-mic competition is open only to Georgia Tech Students, Staff, Faculty or Alumni. If there are still spots available you can either sign up just before the show. However to reserve you spot in the open-mic competition or simply email pete@drpetecomedy.com with your name phone number and email stating that you would like to be in the open-mic contest.

WHEN:
Thursday March 15 - Seating starts at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Same-day sign-up for the open mic contest also starts at 7pm.

WHERE:
At the Library East Commons performance area in the Georgia Tech Library. The Georgia Tech Library is located at 704 Cherry Street, N.W., Atlanta, GA 30332, (404)894-4529. After entering the Library main entrance turn right and right again at Jazzman's Cafe to find the Library East Commons performance area.
